Brittany Green '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brittany Green, and I participate in Track and Field as well as Cross Country at Anthony Wayne High School. I am 5'10, and weigh 140 pounds. I have been running Track and Field since I was in the seventh grade, and have been to the State meet since my eighth grade year. In eighth grade, I participated in long jump and the 4x100M relay, and placed second in both events. My Freshman year, I was a part of the 4x100M relay, and we placed 9th. As a Sophomore, I placed 9th in the long jump, 6th in the 4x200M, and unfortunately our team was disqualified in the finals of the 4x100M. My Junior year, I placed 6th in the long jump. I know I can offer the team strong leadership, as I have always helped my teamates, especially in long jump. In addition, I am hard working, and dedicated. I have always strived to meet my potential, and am almost always the last person to leave the track after practice. I have always known I wanted to run track in college. I would prefer to run track at a college that is close to my family. Either near Ohio, or Arizona, where my Uncle and his family live. This way I would have family to visit over holiday vacations, or long weekends. I am interested in different types of schools, but would prefer one in Division I or II, with a high academic level, and possibly a Christian base. At this point, I am interested in majoring in a medicial program such as nursing. My athletic goals are to reach my potential in every event that I participate in, and possibly be a heptathalete. In addition, I would be interested in running in the highest competition level possible, and possibly being a red shirt freshman. Furthermore, I want to continue to improve my long jump record, and help my college team in any way that I can. Academically, I am an honors student with a 4.2 GPA. I take most of the honors courses offered by my high school, including Honors Calculus, AP Government, and PSO Writting. I strive for the highest possible level of achievement in everything I do.
