I first became interested in water polo when I was swimming with Pleasant Valley Swim Team in Camarillo, California. My eldest brother played water polo in high school and after watching some of his games I told myself I could not follow the black line on the bottom of the pool anymore. I told my parents that I would like to play water polo. I've been playing for five years now and I absolutely love it. Currently, I am sophomore in high school and just wrapped up my 2017 varsity waterpolo season where my team competed in Division 6 CIF, Coastal Canyon League. Water polo has influenced my life in many ways such as better focus in and out of the pool, perseverance, dedication, time management and good sportsmanship. Along with my parents, my coaches play a big role for me and I look to them for guidance and mentorship in and out of the pool. I feel blessed to have found a sport that I am truly passionate about and love to play.
School is very important to me and I have finished my freshman year with a 3.6 GPA. I am currently taking honors biology and plan on improving my GPA.
