Jason Jacobi '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jason Jacobi.  I'm the oldest of three in my family. I strive to be a positive role model for my younger sister and brother.  I am a senior this year at Pleasant Valley High School in Brodheadsville, PA.   I'm very excited to begin looking at colleges and universities to further my education and wrestling career.  I have been wrestling at PV since I was 6 years old.  I wrestled for the midget programs, junior high program, and high school program.  I was a varsity letter winner my freshman year at 106 pounds, my sophomore year at 113 pounds and my junior year at 120/126.  I placed 5th in the District XI tournament qualifying me for the Northeast Regional tournament.  I was Honorable Mention in the EPC league at 126 lbs. by going undefeated in my dual matches.  I have been working hard since the season ended in March by wrestling at a club several nights per week and wrestling at tournaments.   I am able to use my technique and speed to my advantage in matches.
This year, I'm making academics a priority as I want to excel in the classroom. I've volunteered as a Buddy at the Special Olympics Track and Field, as well as the Prom for students with special needs.   I'm interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice with my end goal of working within a national agency such as the ATF or FBI.
