Ever since I started playing volleyball, it has had a huge impact on my life. I have learned so many things about myself through this sport - teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence and trust. Volleyball makes me feel so alive and everything about it just gives me adrenaline. Each season (school or club) my teammates become my family, and the court becomes my home. I started playing volleyball in my seventh grade year. After trying many other sports, I finally found the perfect one for me. One thing this sport has taught me is that I will not fail, but I can learn and get better. As a freshman in high school, I made both the JV and varsity volleyball teams. I mostly play opposite and middle, but I am definitely flexible and will play any position if asked. You would think that practicing a sport like this everyday and going to tournaments on the weekends would get tiring and boring; as for me, I can't get enough of it - I never want to stop playing because it fills my heart with passion.
Although I love volleyball, I also enjoy doing other extra curricular activities as well. I really enjoy photography and singing in choir. My mindset for anything is to never give up and that I can achieve any goal I set for myself. I am one of the most cheerful people you will ever meet. I am always full of energy, and if one of my teammates gets down, I will be there to pick her right back up. I'm super encouraging and have a great attitude. I'm not quite sure what I'm planning on studying in college, but right now I'm interested in perhaps English or finance and banking. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
