My name is Hayley Dufala and I go to Valley Forge High School in Parma, Ohio. Where I am a member of the graduating class of 2021. I am a left-handed setter and right side hitter. The thing that sets me apart is the fact that not only am I left-handed, but I can also hit with my right hand.
I started playing volleyball in the sixth grade and really liked it and began playing competitively in middle school and I also started playing JO volleyball for the Cleveland Volleyball Company. I have learned many things from volleyball including the importance of teamwork and how to be a leader during practice and in games. I am always open to the coaches suggestions and appreciate their feedback and input because I feel that in addition to practicing you get better by listening. I hope to improve both my volleyball and leadership skills as I progress through my high school years.
In addition to becoming the best volleyball player I can be I am also working really hard in school to achieve the best grades I can. My goal is to become a trauma nurse and work in an ER. I love the idea of being able to help someone and the medical field has always interested me.
The sport of volleyball has taught me many important things and I continue to learn every day. I feel that the right college program is out there that will help me in achieving my long term goals while giving me the opportunity to continue to play the sport I have come to love.
