Kira McMann '21 Recruiting Profile

I love to play for a team and working together to win!  The higher the stakes and the bigger the game, the better I play.  I love competition and will rise to the occasion.  I always give 100% but if I need to give 110%, I'll find a way.  I work hard on and off the court as well as in and out of the classroom.  I want to be successful in the game of volleyball and the game of life.  I started playing volleyball in 4th grade and fell in love with the sport.  I used to play competitive golf on the U.S. Kids Golf Tour achieving many awards and even made it to Tri-State Regionals for the PGA Drive, Chip & Putt contest.  I also played basketball for CYO and John Jay Middle School.  In 8th grade, I decided to focus solely on volleyball and play for a National Club team.  It prepared me for making the High School JV team as a 8th grader and High School Varsity team as a 9th grader.  I can't get enough volleyball.  I play at every opportunity that I can.  I hope I get the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.  Thank you for reading my personal statement.
