I have been playing volleyball for the last 5 years. I have played middle, outside, and right side, adjusting to anywhere the coaches have needed me to play. Outside is my favorite position. The highlight of my career so far has been winning the Northeast Qualifier in Minneapolis this past summer, defeating a team in 2 sets that had previously defeated our team in 3 sets at a different qualifier.
Right now I am undecided about what I am hoping to do in college, though I do enjoy history a lot. I have thought about pursuing teaching as a career. I am also not sure what sort of college I might like to end up at. I am certain I will succeed at whichever college I do end up at, as I enjoy school very much and I currently have close to a 4.0 GPA.
Besides volleyball I also enjoy music very much. I play tenor saxophone in marching band, concert band, jazz band, and pep band. I have also played piano for about 7 years. When my team is at certain hotels with pianos available we find it very fun to have sing-a-longs while I play for them, it is a great way to have fun and bond with them.
