Ella Thompson '20 Recruiting Profile

I was six years old when my family took a vacation to Seaside, Oregon. There was a big beach volleyball tournament going on. I had never played volleyball before. I remember my grandpa and my uncle teaching me how to serve underhand on a court on the beach. It was frustrating at the time because I could not get the ball over the net.

Fast forward to my freshman year of high school. I was honored to play on varsity as a freshman and end the season in round 2 of CIF playoffs. 

My love for volleyball grows with every practice and game. I find I am most successful with coaches who want me to be successful. They are intense and focused on helping me achieve my goal to play volleyball in college. 

I look forward to the opportunities I can create for coaches to see my competitiveness and my willingness to put in extra time and effort to reach my goals.
