I always had the dream to play college volleyball ever since I was exposed to it in the fourth grade. Around the ages four and five, I played tee-ball. participated in two seasons of basketball, one for recreational and one for my seventh grade school year. The time I was really introduced to volleyball was in my elementary years. It started out as playing for fun and the concept then was "get the ball over." After being involved so much, I started to view this as a competitive sport and always had my head in the game. People tend to be dependent on me and have high expectations. In 2016, that was my first year doing club and that season affected me greatly. I have realized that I have a lot to offer and volleyball was my greatest passion. I have overcome tragic events in my personal life but to come to practice/games ready-to-go, I used that as my motivation to be the best player I can be. Volleyball is a competitive and an exhilarating team sport...and just having support from parents, teammates, and especially my family.
I would say that I am academically stable. Playing sports gives you the opportunity to multi-task but also gives the life lesson of responsibility. Maintaining decent, good grades, staying out of trouble, those are my goals in general for school. Applying my full effort into being a student-athlete. Student first. The major I would love to advance in is nursing. My dream job is to be a Licensed RN. Helping people and being reliable is something that stands out about my personality. I am very considerate of the people around me and often put people's needs first.
