Hello, my name is Mikaya Sweet and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I am a 5'10.5" outside hittter and have been playing volleyball for eight years. My senior season finished in November. We finished 2nd in city and 2nd in state losing only to our rival high school. I was team captain, first team All-Conference in city and All-State with 2 Subway "Player of the Game" awards during our state tournament. My junior year, we won the 4A State Tournament, Regions and went undefeated not losing a set the entire season including Regions and State. I was chosen for the All-State Tournament team. For the past three summers I have attended the Phoenix Volleyball festival in Arizona with my Midnight Sun club team. Last June, my 18's team placed 9th overall. In my spare time I workout daily at a local gym and attend as many as volleyball practices/camps/workouts as possible. I am interested in Physical Therapy or becoming or Dietician/Nutritionist. Being healthy and fit is something I love and focus on staying on top of. I am interested in a college with a Kinesiology program along with volleyball. I would be willing to play at any level of play. I am very excited about the opportunity to play college volleyball.
