Since sophomore year I knew I wanted to make track a part of my life for as long as I could. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, I have managed to make my way to the top of the team. I've become a leader for the new throwers and athletes often running drills and leading the team during practice in different exercises. I see a lot of potential for myself in the upcoming season as I am currently working with the Javelin Factory and training almost everyday after school and on the weekends. Training is going very well and I have added anywhere from 20 to 30 ft to my throw (we don't always measure during practice) since I reached my last official mark. I have been able to improve on much in my technique, including my impulse step, penultimate, and power position going into the throw. My goals while in college are to build similar relationships I had while in high school with my coaches and teachers. I want to create a good balance between school and sports and give myself the best chance possible to push myself to the best of my abilities- both academically and athletically. I am looking for a medium sized school with a strong science program in the hopes of creating a solid science background for myself, as I do not currently know what I would like to pursue. I am also looking for a coach that will help train and push me to bring out the best in myself both on and off the field. I believe that if I find a school and a coach for me, I could be pushed to succeed far past what I have already accomplished in high school.
