Olivia Chapman '17 Recruiting Profile

I am in love with running. Track and Cross Country have been a life changing experience. They have taught me the difference between interest and commitment: interest is running when you feel like it while commitment is running regardless of any momentary feeling or excuse. There is nothing quite like pushing yourself day after day, sacrificing for the team, and challenging yourself to become better than you ever believed you could. Committing myself has drastically improved my times over the years and gave me incredible opportunities like competing in states for cross country and track! I have applied this valuable lesson to my school work as well. Committing myself to success in school has brought me a 3.85/4.0 GPA, National Honors Society, countless clubs and leadership positions, and enjoyment in school! Being able to running in college and continuing to commit to bettering the team would be an incredible opportunity that I strive to make a reality.
