Emily Polvere '14 Recruiting Profile

I qualified for and competed in the 55m dash at the NYSPHSAAC, at Cornell University, in 2012. I advanced to the semi-finals and finished 13th in New York State. I won the 200m dash and finished first with my Sprint Medley Relay team at the Eastern States Championship. I have received many individual and team awards: earning All-County Honors, NYS Section 1, Class B, All-League titles, and team MVP – each numerous times. I have broken 6 long-held school records – three individual events: the 55m dash, 100m dash, 200m dash and three relay events: the Sprint Medley Relay, 4x100 and 4x200 (running the anchor leg in the latter two record-breaking relays). My contributions to our relay teams have helped us qualifying for and compete at the prestigious Penn Relays, New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals and the Malloy Stanner Games. In addition, I have competed in and won numerous long jump competitions and maintain my high academic standards. My passion is running and I am determined to work with my coaches and teammates to improve my personal bests and make contributions to the team!
