I want to introduce myself, my name is Paige Beaudry and I am currently a freshman at Riverview High school in Riverview Michigan. I am a multi sport athlete who very much aspires to compete at the collegiate level after High school.
I am a very hard worker and disciplined individual who works hard in sports as well as school. I have a 4.0 GPA and I have the potential to become the first 5 sport varsity athlete (male or female) in Riverviews school history. What sets me apart and gives me the drive to succeed is that I have been hearing impaired since birth and have had to work harder and longer in order to get what I want. I do not let this get in my way and I use it to motivate me to do better. I love being on a team and bonding with my teammates to reach our goals. I expect my best at every sport I do and want to be the best. I train year round and know its what you do outside of practice that sets you apart from the rest.
I competed on the Varsity Cross Country team this past year. I set the High School record with a time of 19:35 and qualified for the State meet where I finished 69th overall and 6th for all Freshman in Division 2. My goal next year is to finish in the top 30 in order to qualify for All State honors. I received the team MVP award at this years banquet. I was first team All Huron League, All District and made the News Herald All Downriver team as well.
Soccer is another sport that's been a big part of my life and what I love to do. I have been competing on a travel team since I was 6 years old. My main club team is the Grosse Ile Chaos from Grosse Ile Michigan. I play Center Mid and have been the leading scorer on all of the teams I have played with. Our U13 team won the Junior State Cup tournament in 2014. I will be playing Varsity soccer for my High School this coming season in 2018. Playing soccer at a collegiate level would be a dream come true.
During the Cross Country season I also competed on the Varsity Golf team. I was the number 1 player on the team and shot consistently in the high 40's to low 50's. I was the team MVP at the end of the season and made 2nd team All Huron League. I plan on dedicating my summer to improving my game and dropping my scores down into the low 40's high 30's with the ultimate goal of playing in the State tournament at the end of the year.
I am currently in the middle of playing Varsity basketball for the Riverview Pirates. I play multiple positions and was one of 2 Freshman to make the team this year. Basketball is a newer sport to me but I love the competition and it has become something I feel that I could do at the next level.
Finally my fifth sport would be running for the Track team. I ran track in Junior high and set the school records for in the 1 mile and 2 mile and 800 distances. This is a natural extension of my running abilities and would be a great way to stay in shape for all of my various sports and activities. I plan on running the 2 mile and possibly the 1 mile depending on the needs of the team.
So this is who I am. As you can see I am very busy and dedicated while still maintaining a high GPA. I would love to meet any coaches for any of the above sports who feel I could be a part of their program and compete at the next level. Playing multiple sports would definitly be an option as well!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
