Personal Statement

"Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is." Vince Lombardi

As much as I wish I had more time and opportunities to discover my talent and passion for running, there is nothing I rather be doing than hearing the crowd cheer as I approach the starting line, feeling the silence hit the air in anticipation for the gunshot, the jolt of nerves that react to the sudden bang of the gun, the racing heart I feel as I fight to the finish line, and finally the everlasting feel of achievement when I beat my own personal record or even win the race. I want to run no matter what obstacles may come my way, I will make myself reach higher heights and farther distances to achieve my goals. This is my passion; I would be lost without track being a part of my world. I hope to be on a college team that will offer my desired major in marine biology and environmental so when I reach that day to graduate, I can go into a career where I will be able to help our beautiful planet and its creatures. Ever since I was little I knew I would be a part in helping the environment thrive and help conserve it.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
