Personal Statement
Greetings! My name is Valerie Fox. I am an aspiring Sophomore at Danbury High School with an intense thirst for both athletic and academic improvement.
As a varsity scorer on the historically successful Danbury High Cross Country program, I recently ran a 15:24 in the 4000m at the FCIAC Conference Championships, which enabled my team to achieve 2nd place for the first time in 15 years. This performance also won me a spot on the FCIAC All-Conference 1st team. I am excited for the upcoming sophomore indoor and outdoor track seasons, and plan on breaking my current 3200m PR of 11:32 with an 11:10 by the end of outdoor. My other track PR's include 5:22 for 1600m.
Academically, I am in the top 10% out of over 700 students and have a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.24. I am currently in 4 honors classes and AP Modern World. By the end of high school, I hope to graduate with a GPA over 4.5
I look forward to continuing my academic and athletic pursuits after I graduate from Danbury High School in 2020.
