Hello my name is Ellie Waters and I plan to run collegiately at a College or University while studying Speech Pathology.
This is my third year running. I have been a three-sport athlete and originally ran track as a freshman just to stay in shape for my main sport – basketball. However, I have grown to love running the most!
I am a motivated individual and am very teachable. I always listen to my coach and work super hard in practice to set a great example for my teammates.
I haven’t had much coaching in running and realize there are many areas in my form and technique that need improvement. I know I have a lot more potential!
I am the third oldest of six children. My two oldest sisters Ruth and Abby were Valedictorians. Ruth plays college basketball and Abby attends UCLA. Me, I have a 3.8 GPA and have had to work very hard for it! My three younger siblings Dallas, Lydia and Gideon are really fun and I love spending time with them.
I am pretty open to consider any college that has a speech pathology, track and cross country program. The four main areas I will be considering in my college decision are Academics, Location, Cost and Spiritual environment. I am LDS and hope to attend a college with a congregation nearby. Thanks for reading my personal statement and I hope you recruit me to run at your school! Ellie Waters
