Why I want to play college basketball? I have been in multiple sports, but this sport was a blessing from God. I have only grown as person since starting in third grade. I feel like college basketball is one step closer to my dream of going Professional. I know college basketball is aggressive and very cut throat, but I am just as aggressive and cut throat. Playing basketball has been such a stress reliever for me. Playing the sport takes me to a place that simple and happy. I do not care about the phyiscal or mental pain of the game. Every time I step out onto a court I make that court mine. Home or away I do not step off giving my last effort. It does not matter who I play or how far I go the opposing team will know my name not just my number.
I am a leader who does not have to make the big plays on the court but I sharpen my team. My coaches have seen the good and bad of me, and still say I lead. I am very respected in my community for my athletic ability and leadership skill. There is a quote I go by, " don't worry about scoring, worry about impacting the game." This means to me by don't be that player that only scores. I can get twenty-four points a game, but I would rather impact defensively. Making the steal, block, defensive rebound is my favorite thing to do. My coach once told me, "offense wins games, defense wins championships." I live by that.
