Hello my name is Ladaijah Wright and I'm currently in my Senior year at Etiwanda High school in Etiwanda, CA. For the past four years at Etiwanda High School I have been a 2 to 3 sport player taking part in Cross Country (4 year Varsity), Soccer ( 2 years), and Track (3 year Varsity) and hopefully my 4th Varsity year this year.
As I start my Senior year I have decided with my parents directions to focus on my Track and Cross Country career. I hope to push my self to the next level and make CIF finals for both Cross Country and Track for the 2018 school year. I finished my 2017 Cross Country season at the CIF southern section prelims this year, I though I hoped to make it to the finals I gave it my all with my PR this season of 19:08 at the Apache Invitational in Arcadia.
I will be the first to attend college from my Family, neither one of my parents have a college degree but both are very motivated in life and have express to me hoe important it is to attend college if allowed to. My father will be retiring from the US Navy this December with over 20 years of service, and I would love to be able to have him see me live his dream of getting my degree.
I am the oldest of three sisters and the one to lead the way! I was born premature at only 3lbs 11 oz at 7 months at Queen of the Valley hospital in West Covina. I had to stay there for over a month fighting for my life and I have always had to fight since then to prove myself and work extra hard due to my size.
I will continue to strive to be the best I can be this Track season, to attend college, obtain a degree, and enjoy life as I learn.
If you can take it you can make it! - unbroken
