Of all the sports and activities I’ve participated in since I was little, sprinting and being known as “the girl that runs fast”, stood out to me. From the moment I joined my school track team by age 11, I knew I wanted to continue sprinting in the future especially at the collegiate level. Having that opportunity would change my life forever as it would be an honor to represent my college while on the track.
Coachability is one of my qualities, as I love learning and improving and continue to actively strive to be the best I can be. As the student athlete I am, I am beyond merely eligible for sports, but rather I maintain a high GPA year-round and echo the voice of my peers by being a student representative in my school’s school site council, and ASB.
My goal for the future is to attend a college where I can grow as an individual and athlete so that I can offer help to the people around me with the knowledge I’ve gained. Inspiring those around me, being a role model, and making my family proud is what I aspire to do, and I know that being a collegiate level student athlete can help me accomplish that.
