Spring 2012Personal Statement
I am a junior at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, CA. Although pole vault is my passion, academics are still a major priority. I hold high expectations for both pole vault and academics. Currently, I maintain an overall GPA of 3.67. I plan to take my ACT and SAT exams in May of 2013.
I started vaulting Feb of 2011 my Freshman year . In the 2 years following that introduction to pole vaulting and only being able to vault 6 months out of the year, I was able to achieve a personal best of 10' 9" . My goal this year is to hit 11' 6" as a Junior and be vaulting in the 12 ft range my Senior year. I love this sport and hope to continue my pole vaulting career in college.
