My collegiate goals are to make the USA national team at least once (most likely in the 100 backstroke), maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, to stay happy, and enjoy swimming. I am a very strong leader, but also great at listening to and working with others. My team has always been and will always be my family and I would like to get that out of a collage team as well. I love helping others. I am a coach for my summer team and I specialize with the disabled kids. I am very involved with my community. I have been a member of AC4P (actively caring for people) for three years now and I am an At-large athlete representative on the Lake Erie USA Swimming Board. I am a very dedicated student. As of my sophomore year of high school I have a 4.0 GPA and I am taking every honors and advanced class allowed. I am very dedicated to swimming. This spring (2018) will mark my 10 year with this sport. I love being in and around the water. Training gives me purpose and I could not imagine life without it. I am a very loyal person. I have been on the same team for 9 years which has payed off because I have a long relationship built on trust with my coaches and team mates. I am always pushing myself to be a better student, athlete and person. I love challenges and I put passion into everything I do. This year I will be returning to YMCA Nationals for my second year. Last year I qualified in the 100 back and a relay. So far this year I qualified in the 100 back, the same relay and I am hoping to qualify in at least the 50 free and the 200 back soon. My 100 back goal time for the end of my sophomore season is a 57.5 (yards). In the 50 free I plan to go a 24.1 by the end of the season. In the 100 fly I plan to go a 59.5 by the end of the season. In the 200 IM I plan to go a 2:15.5. In the 200 back I plan to go a 2:06.5 by the end of my YMCA season. I love this sport and I work diligently to improve. I am not prone to injury *knock on wood* and I work hard to keep my body healthy.
