I have been swimming competitively since I was 9 years old. I have been swimming on a club team for almost 7 years now. Freshman year I joined my high schools' swim team excited for the opportunity and ready to make memories. I am a member of my schools' Student Athletic Council as the representative for the swim team. For my off-season in the spring, I row on the girls' Varsity Crew team so I can stay strong for the swimming season and so I can continue to be a part of a team. I want to continue my love and passion for swimming in college with a nice balance between academics and athletics, because grades are important to me. I want to make sure that the coach and I have a good relationship so I can go to him/her if I ever have questions or need advice. I want my daily practices to have challenges without being too overwhelming, and also to have teammates beside me that can push me with friendly competition. In the two years leading up to college and throughout, I want to continue to lower all of my times and raise my grades. The butterfly and freestyle events, since they are my strongest strokes, will be one of my main focuses along with, as of now, to major in something science-based.
