I am a multiple sport athlete, and I cannot imagine my life without sports. That is why I have chosen to become a physical education teacher and want to be a coach that is compassionate and can make a positive impact on others. My current club coach has been one of the biggest influences throughout my soccer career. He has been the best role model to help me understand what it takes to be a coach. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, work ethic, and leadership from him. I only hope that someday I can be as big of an influence on a young athlete as he has been on me.
I train with my DA team 4x a week and when I'm not on the field, I'm in my back yard training with ladders, cones, and a ball. On the off season my team trains 2x a week and I am enrolled in small group personal training sessions 1x a week. We do cardio, strength, and agility training. I also play varsity basketball during the winter to help keep in shape. I want to always strive to be the best that I can be and keeping fit is very important to me.
Soccer has grounded and focused me. I know that if I want to play in college I not only have to work hard at the sport but also at school. Soccer is the thing that pushes me to get good grades, study, and make good choices socially. I know that I would be an asset to any team. I believe I have the ability and drive to compete at the collegiate level. I think my work ethic and leadership skills will help make an immediate impact on any team!
