Swimming is my passion with my favorite events being backstroke and freestyle. I have participated on my varsity swim team for two years and finished my season at state in the 100 back both years. In those two years I have also earned two MVP awards, All Conference Academic Team and All Conference Honorable Mention. In addition to my high school team, I swim for a club team where I have competed at the Illinois state meet for five years and have been a finalist for the past three. This past summer, I qualified for the Futures Meet and finished 11th in the 200 back. I am self-motivated in and out of the pool and currently hold a 5.4 GPA with a challenging academic schedule.
I am looking for a university experience where I can improve in the pool while furthering my academics at a high level. While I am not sure of my major at this time, my interests lie mainly in the area of math and science with a possible focus on a health related career. My goal is to swim in a competitive program where I can be a positive addition to a successful team.
