Megan Hannah '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Megan Hannah.  I have been playing soccer since I was five years old.  I have aspired to play at the collegiate level and if I work hard enough I would like to play for an upper division college team. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.

I have strong legs, the endurance to play the full 90 minutes, ability to see and play the field as a distributing/attacking midfielder and excellent ball handling skills. I am a team leader, been a captain for many of the teams I have played on and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.  My coaches will say that I can be called upon to reliably play any position on the pitch, including my Freshman year were I became the starting varsity goalkeeper even though that isn't my primary position. 

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer for a non-profit organization, Jamie's Heart Foundation, that was founded in memory of my younger sister who died at the age of two due to complications of her congenital heart defect.  

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
