I became a multi-sport athlete in the 4th grade, playing soccer, basketball, and softball. My passion for soccer stood out more than the other sports so I decided to focus all my efforts on soccer in high school. I tried out for and made my first club team my freshman year. Halfway through my first season I was a starter and taking most free and corner kicks. The understanding of the game and over all game play continued to get better, striving for the best out of myself. My over all love for the game is very strong, and I would want nothing more than to continue my athletic career into college.
A support system is very important in every aspect of sports, and I feel I have one of the best. My parents, coaches, and teammates encourage my love for the game and understand what I expect out of myself as a player. Coaches feel comfortable with me leading their team with the right kind of guidance and understanding of the game. They also know what I expect out of myself, striving for me to be the best player I can be for our team. My parents have been the main source of support and are very interactive with my sports and academic career. They are willing to get me to where I want to be, with my mindset of continuously wanting to learn and strive to get better. Nothing is better than playing a sport you love with people you love. My teammates are very important to me, they help my game play by encouraging it to improve with every game I play. I only expect the same out of them, it is very important to be able to depend on your teammates and for them to be able to depend on you.
I'd like to play with a program relatively close to home, but more importantly a program that is the best fit for me. I appreciate playing for a coach that is straight forward that pushes me to improve myself not only as a player on their team but in the class room and life in general. Stopping at nothing to receive more knowledge and understanding of the game, and I will continue to grow on their team as a person on and off the field. My ideal program needs to have great vision and hope for the future. I want to be able to help or better the program, along with being the best student athlete I can be.
Thank you for your time Coach! I look forward to exceeding your expectations in 2020!
