I've always had a passion for soccer and started playing when I was five years old. I'm 5'4'' and about 115lbs. Currently I'm in 10th grade at Livonia High School which is in New York around the Rochester area. I play for both club teams and for my high school. I have also been invited to participate in the National Championship Beach Soccer tournament in December 2017. This year I have been called up to play Varsity because of my skills, aggressiveness and speed. I have had a lot of playing time and have started in multiple games. I typically play defense, either left outside or stopper, but the coaches have also played me in half back and attack. Throughout my 13 games so far this season, the opposition has only scored a total of 1 goal while I am on defense. I am happy to try any position as long as I am on the field playing!
When people ask me about my goals for soccer I always just say that I want to go further. For example, when high school ends I don't want to stop there. It is my dream to keep going and keep playing. Ultimately it has been my one big goal to make it on to a professional team. My current goals is to win sectionals and states this year. We have a very strong team and we are very capable of going all the way. Right now my sister is down at Georgia Southern University diving at the D1 level, so I am very open to schools further from home.
For being a rather small girl on my team I'm probably the most aggressive. I don't back down from a bigger girl. Last year I hurt my ankle while playing on a team two grades higher than me. It was the beginning of my regular season so I played through the pain and my coach at my last game had to literally drag me off the field because I did not want to come off. I'm a pretty tough girl and I don't stay on the ground when I get knocked down as you will see in my videos. I'm very aggressive yet I keep my cool on the field and play smart. I'm a team player and I genuinely fit in well with new people and new teams. Perfect example is the beach soccer team that invited me to play over the summer. I hit it off really well with everyone on the team despite not knowing any of them.
Alot of people find it hard to juggle both sports and school but I find time. My overall grade stays about 90%, I'm almost always on the high honor roll. Besides soccer I also really enjoy singing, coaching youth soccer, basketball, track & field and hanging with my friends.
