Sydney Benda '11 Recruiting Profile

I am extremely competitive by nature and I am constantly challenging myself in multiple areas in my life. I would love the opportunity to play soccer at the highest level possible in college. Whether that is a Division 1 school, Division II or a Division 3 school I am ok with that. For me, the biggest thing I am looking for in a college is a place with a great fashion program and a soccer team where I would be able to make difference. I have had many accomplishments in high school and club soccer. I made the varsity team as a freshman and I plan to be a four-year starter. While I was injured most of my freshman year, my sophomore year in high school I was awarded MVP, All-Conference, and All-District. My junior year I hope to be even better and work for All-State. My club season this fall finished far with making it to the state cup semi-finals. We competed in tournaments such as CASL and Orange Classic. I also am a team captain for my club team. As a player, I am strongest technically. I have an excellent touch and good vision on the ball. I am not that big of a player, only being 5'4' and 130 lbs, but I make up for it with my speed and technical game. I try to always be an aggressive player and I'm always looking to attack. Soccer and fashion design are two of my greatest passions. I am looking for a place that I can do both. I always work hard to be successful in everything I do. I train every single day whether it's soccer or cross training. I am open to different size schools and different environments. I look forward to what I can accomplish in college academically as well as athletically.
