I have known since I was very young that I have two ultimate goals; to play soccer at the college level and to make the world a better place. My goal is to become either a Physician Assistant or Attorney and to play soccer at the college level. I have learned that both my career aspirations and my sport have a lot in common. This includes being flexible as the game or scenario changes, to focus in on the details, be a leader in all I do, look to the future and have an impact on what I can change instead of what has already occurred. My exposure to different experiences, both on and off the soccer field, have allowed me to demonstrate my leadership skills, to teach others skills that I possess, work well as part of a team, and to give more than I receive. Both in athletics and academics, I exhibit greater dedication and work harder than anyone else. I realize that determination, perserverance, and just plain "heart", can win games and earn high marks in school. It is not always the gifted student or athlete that excels but the one who is passionate and "wants it the most." I treat each practice as if it were the world cup championship game and each test as the one that will get me into the college of my choice. My personal motto is, "Practice like you're number two in order to become a champion." My friends, family, teachers, and coaches have taught be to be independent and to stand for my beliefs. I am confident that I will have a positive impact on my world and ultimately achieve my goals.
