My goal is to continue to play soccer in the future. I am a good leader, and when I set my mind to something I will go and get it. Most girls looking to play college soccer are from suburban communities and they have not been raised in the city like me. I encounter many people who are from different backgrounds, other countries and who have different perspectives on live. Going to public school, there are many challenges and hurdles who as student athletes have to overcome. We do not have a practice field, stadium or a wonderful training facility. Yet we are able to complete with the other schools because of our drive and dedication. I attend a very diverse school with students who have disabilities such as, autism and being deaf. I learned how to work with them and learned sign language since first grade. Knowing how to help them out and just be friends with the students with disabilities has taught me how to be a better leader when it comes to anything.
