McKenna Kopeny '20 Recruiting Profile

I have always dreamed of playing at the highest division of soccer available to me.  Through my competitive nature, I have learned that the only way to become the athlete I want to be is through hard work.  I was fortunate to realize this at a young age, and since then, I have put more time and effort into nothing but my soccer and academics.  I train not only with my club team and ODP,  but also on my own and with personal speed and strength coaches.  I am a captain of my team, playing three years above my age, and the voice directing my teammates from the back line.  I not only play defense, but have experience to play wherever is needed.  Due to great coaching, I accept a big role in important situations and perform my best under high pressure.  Off the field, I continually take the highest courses available to me and earn straight A's.  My standardized test scores are high, placing continually in the 98-99th percentile.  Aside from athletics and academics, I am a Special Needs Leader, Freshman and Peer Leader/Tutor, volunteer for "Service Over Self", participate in clubs such as Orange Crush (spirit group), and nanny for multiple families.
