Personal Statement

My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. Most of my free time is spent with a soccer ball at my feet, and I am interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.  I started playing U19 travel soccer  when I was 12 years old. This has helped me with strength on the ball, since I've been playing against much bigger girls for several years.   I am always looking for ways to improve my soccer abilities, and  I do my best to stay in shape all year. I have exceptional endurance that is continuously improving due to soccer and track training, and I attend summer workouts in the weight room at school for strength training. During a game, I give all I have and never stop trying. If I ever lose the ball, I do everything I can to win it back, not just relying on my teammates. When I need to be, I am selfish on the ball.  On the field, I make sure that I know who is around me, and where my teammates are so I am able to distribute to the best option. I also never force the ball when I am able to relax and work around the defense. I communicate with my team to make this situation easier. I also do what I can to bond with my teammates. Whether it is during practice, a game, or a fun team activity, everyone is included. I am a very coachable player. Many of my coaches have complimented me in this area, because I listen to their advice to make improvements on the field.  One of my most important qualities is that I am respectful to everyone. This includes my coaches, my teammates, and referees. Academically, I am a high honors student.  I work to exceed teachers’ expectations on things like homework, tests, and study techniques. I use my resources to better understand the topic, and I am very self motivated.  I want to succeed while also challenging myself. Another important quality that I possess is that I love to help out. I am a member of three volunteer clubs at my school.  Each club brings me to various locations in the community to help out with groups such as children, veterans, and the elderly.  I  believe these are the most important aspects of my life that truly make me a perfect candidate for any college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
