Mia Stewart '21 Recruiting Profile

I am Mia Stewart from San Diego, California graduating in class of 2021. Soccer is my passion and my goal and dreams are to play Division1 soccer.   My search for colleges is very open minded and I am so excited and hope to one day play college soccer!  My dad attended UNC and had the opportunity to play basketball for the team as well. I attend Point Loma High School and just made Varsity as a Freshman! I am on the DPL team for Albion SC 03s coached by Ernie Romero and am also a part of the Developmental Academy (DA). I also represent Southern California in ODP. I play on the CalSouth 03 ODP Summer team and am trying out this winter to represent Cal South in the tournament this January 2018.   Soccer is where I focus my life. I strive to get better with every practice and am so excited to see where this journey will take me.

In school, I am a great student (quote from my teachers). Every year I have a GPA of 3.8 and higher! I am taking my 3rd year of Spanish going into highschool this year, honors integrated math 2, and seminar English. Academics, soccer and family are always first in my life.

Playing soccer in college is my absolute DREAM AND GOAL that I am working extremely hard for,  but I know it all ends. If (and when) competitive soccer ends for me, I want to become a veterinarian.  I have had the opportunity to shadow our local vet this past summer and will be volunteering for the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter. 

But of course,my main goal now is to get a scholarship to college for playing the sport I love .
