My name is Jordan Foraker and I am enrolled in the class of 2018 at South Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska. As far as academics, I have taken several honors and AP classes and I have a 4.11 cumulative GPA. My best subjects are math and science. In middle school, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society and in high school I am in the National Honor Society. I am a very dedicated student who strives to do my best in school. I may be interested in a career in the field of physical therapy, which will greatly influence my decision on a college.
Growing up in Alaska, I have always loved to be outdoors, whether that meant camping, playing outside, or playing soccer. I began playing soccer when I was five years old and began playing competitively when I was nine years old. I consider myself to be an extremely dedicated and hard working player. I almost never miss a practice and I am always pushing myself to reach my full potential. I am also a very versatile player. Although my primary positions are forward and outside mid, I can also play outside back or even center mid. I have always played for Cook Inlet Soccer Club on the Velocity 2000 Girls team. We started traveling to out-of-state tournaments when we were ten years old, but some of our more recent trips have included Presidents Cup Regionals in 2014,2016, and 2017, Albion Cup in 2015, CASL Girls College Showcase in 2015, and Disney Showcase in 2017. We have always been the best team in Alaska in our age group, dominating almost every tournament. We have won the Alaska Airlines Cup and State Cup four out of the five years we have participated. In 2015, I made the All-State Tournament team for the U16 Girls. I have always been a great asset to my team, scoring and assisting many goals. While playing with my club team, I have also played for the Alaska State ODP team for the 2000 Girls. I have played with ODP ever since I turned twelve years old and have travelled several times with them too. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, I participated in ODP Championships as well as the Far West Regional League during the winter of 2014-2015 with the Alaska State ODP team. I made the Varsity team my freshman year at South Anchorage High School. I was the only freshman who played in every single game and even started a few games. I scored a goal in the first game and finished my freshman season with seven goals and five assists. My team won first place in the 2015 Alaska High School Soccer State Championships. I played on the Varsity team throughout my sophomore season as well. I was a starter and played in every game. I finished the season with 9 goals and 12 assists and I made 2nd Team All-Conference. I was one of two captains of the Varsity team as a junior and finished the season with 33 goals and 25 assists in a total of 33 games played. I made the First Team All Cook Inlet Conference and the All-State Team. We took second in the state tournament and I was named the South Girls Soccer player of the year by MaxPreps.
