Elaina Ohlson '19 Recruiting Profile

When I was young I had always dreamed of playing a collegiate sport. I played every sport you could imagine as a kid, and that's how I found my love for the sport of lacrosse.  As my lacrosse career has grown I have experienced many types of atmostpheres that have taught me to adjust and learn. The teams that I have been apart of have been beneficial to my experience by, growing my skills, enhancing my leadership skills, and teaching me to work harder than normal. My freshman and sophmore seasons of high school lacrosse pushed me to be the best that I could be in the classroom, on the field, and in general to be the best version of myself.

Whether it's in the classroom or on the field I have always pushed myself to succeed farther than expected. I focus hard on my studies to then slide right into a practice or game to let loose and focus hard on the field. I have always held high expectations that I follow regarding school work and studying, and moving towards the college process is helping me to build up that drive that college will require. I believe that on the field I need to be able to adjust and work with whatever is thrown in my direction. I feel that my variety of techinical skills including, field vision, catching, hand switching, shooting, and speed would be beneficial to your program. But I also strongly believe that my ability to be coached and work with anyone, whether it's a teamate or a coach, would continue to make your program the program you set out for it to be. I take constructive critisism and turn it into ways to improve myself, everyone around me, and all aspects of my game.
