Zach DeCarmine '23 Recruiting Profile

Even though I have only just completed my freshman year in high school, I am focused on my future.  I have had a successful freshman year academically and athletically.  I am very proud to be ranked the number one freshman in the state for the majority of the season in both of my hurdle events, but I never take anything for granted. I work very hard to achieve everything that I have accomplished.  Since playing football in the Fall of 2016 and breaking my arm, I could have given up, but I didn't.  It just helped me to define my goals even more.  I gave up football, gave up baseball, and decided to give everything I had to my number one passion- track.  I am proud to be competing at Junior Olympics this year and proud of my first high school season with my PR's. I also know that my grades are just as important as my athletic aspirations and I want to do everything I can to go as far as I can in college with track.  I am committed and I never give up.  Every day, I am committed to do something to get my closer to my goal and I will continue with that work ethic not only until my dream becomes a reality but throughout my time running for my college track team.
