In college I would like to be an independent, hard working student, and have fun while living the college experience. Playing lacrosse would allow me to continue my love for the game, stay active, and be challenged physically and mentally. It will help my personal journey in learning from important life lessons, especially the importance of determination, working to success, and communicating with my teammates.
I am unselfish, a team player, I put in 100% all the time, I am a play maker. I see the field well and have a good sense of where the play is going. My lacrosse (and soccer) coaches tell me that I'm one of their smarter players they've coached, and that they feel good about putting me in any position on the field if needed. I think this is why I'm backer for my club team. I look out for my teammates and always try to encourage instead of speak negatively.
I think I'm different because I am naturally curious and a quick learner. I usually only need to be told or shown once. I'm always seeking to improve when new information and opportunities are presented. I have been through several very difficult life challenges. In each instance, I have worked through and overcome the adversity. I would rather not have had to deal with these difficult situations, but I truly believe the strength and insight I've gained from these events has enabled me to be a better player on the field, student in the classroom, and companion to my friends.
