Hi, I am Lauren Kempf and a sophomore at Harry D. Jacobs High School. I have been playing golf since I was eight years old and came to the realization that I want to play college golf when I was twelve years old. I love practicing and playing golf on the course trying to perfect my game. I am very committed to the game and I practice daily in the summer time. Yet, practicing everyday all year is hard since I live in Illinois where it snows in the winter. I continue to practice in my golf simulator set up in the garage and in my basement is a little putting mat so I can try to keep perfecting my swing and practice putting! I attend golf practice everyday through school in the fall and I try to go out on the weekends but school work and grades come first. I work very hard on and off the golf course trying to improve. I want to play college golf because I want to keep improving my game!
One of my most important accomplishment is when I got first place in a tournament. It was my first tournament ever and I won by seven strokes! I am always trying to practice as much as possible and I can contribute to the team. I am the first one to get to practice and the last to leave team practices. One of my all time goals is to be a college golfer! I really want to play as a freshman and play at the highest level available for me. I am also committed to school and my academic achievements. I aim to get A’s in school and no lower than a B.
