Through out my life so far I have experienced playing many sports, such as golf, volleyball, softball, and karate. I have been playing golf since I was 2, and have been competing in many junior golf tournaments. When I was younger I competed in the First Tee Junior tournaments, and now I compete in events in the Hurricane Junior Tour, and the Northern California Golf Association Junior Tour. I have played on club volleyball teams since I was 11 years old, and this year as a freshman I played on the Davis Senior High School Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball team as a starting setter. I started karate when I was 5 years old, and have been training for 10 straight years. I am a third degree black belt which holds great responsibility, pride, and respect. I have juggled volleyball, golf, karate, and school for more then 3 years. Competing in these different sports has allowed me to develop many positive characteristics. From volleyball and softball, I have learned teamwork and how to stay positive. Ten years of karate has taught me respect, discipline, courage, and commitment. From all these past experiences I have learned so many qualities, and these qualities have helped me work well with my golf team, and in life. I have kept my grade point average at a 4.0 in school, and have proven that I can do well both in sports and academics. I believe that my ability to balance and excel in academics and athletics can help me in the future as a collegiate golf.
