Alana Vinson '20 Recruiting Profile

Since I was five years old, I have dreamed of competing on the basketball court at the highest collegiate level. I strive to be the hardest working person both on the court and in the classroom. I love the game of basketball and enjoy working with teammates and competing against opponents.

I am constantly working to improve all facets of my game, and I believe my dedication and strong work ethic are my best attributes.  I am very coachable and always try to set a good example for those around me.  I have strong ball-handling skills and can finish at the rim with either hand. I enjoy the transition game and attacking the basket.  I also have a strong inside game and can shoot the jumper.

I challenge myself in the classroom with AP and honors courses while maintaining a 4.0+ GPA.  I also enjoy working with the youth basketball programs at school and volunteering my time in the community at food pantries and nursing homes.  

I intend to pursue a degree in a health profession, so I am looking for a college where I can play basketball while enrolled in a program that will prepare me for med school.   I love the game of basketball, but I realize that my education is what will set my path for the future.
