I have been playing basketball competitively since the 7th grade, but have been playing in our family's driveway with my sisters and my parents since I was 8 years old. It wasn't until I reached junior high that I realized that I wanted to play at the collegiate level. I know that being able to play in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could potentially change my entire life.
I can drive the ball to the basket hard, I can shoot from just about anywhere on the court, I'm aggressive both offensively and defensively, I'm quick on my feet and I have a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and encourage my teammates both on and off the court. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find in my area. My hard work, determination and skills has lead to me being called up to play on my high school's varsity team my freshman year.
In the classroom, I study very hard to maintain and improve my class rank as well as my GPA. I also volunteer with a girls basketball feeder travel program and I am currently a member of an IL 4-H Club.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself both in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options as I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to continue to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents and family proud.
