Personal Statement

Within in these years of Basketball,  I have played for Santana, Sol Club Basketball, and have attended several Elite Camps (paid for by a third party). Other than  basketball, I have played: Freshman Volleyball, Varsity Golf, 2 years JV Lacrosse, and 1 year Varsity Lacrosse. Playing basketball, compared to all of these sports, is my favorite by far.

I play with passion and determination mentally and physically. Shooting free throws, I have a mental focus on my routine and leave my muscle memory to do the rest. Lay ups, I can power through 2 girls and manage to control the ball with finesse. My passion helps me be a better leader to my team, to help them in a way that is in a more “helpful” than “coaching” manner. I always want to lead by example, meaning practice and games have no differences, it's always 100%.

Sports help me focus especially on my academics and time management. Playing sports helps me focus more on my studies, giving me less time for distractions and more for cold hard work. Throughout my high school years, I constantly play sports to keep my mind clear and focused, which is why I play so many. My average GPA is a 3.5, taking both College Preparatory classes and Advanced Placement classes. My academics are equally important to me as much as my athletics, and always work out a balance between them.

Playing at a collegiate level will help me in more ways than you would know. It would help my parents peace of mind knowing I'm going to a good college and playing the sport I love, as well as keeping them financially sane! But it will also let me achieve my goals of going to a College and playing college basketball, as well as finishing my education and help me train for my vocation, Digital Media. Collegiate athletics will help me stay fit, focused, and forever grateful for the opportunities  college will bring me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
