Hi, my name is Alexis and I am a 15 year old sophomore at Metlakatla High School, Metlakatla is a 2a class school in Alaska. I have played for the past 7 years in just club and school basketball. I've loved basketball since I first touched the leather and my dream and goal is to play Division 1 basketball in college. My freshman year I started playing varsity right off the bat as the point guard. Last season my team had taken 2nd place at regionals and 6th at state. I had made all-conference, 3rd all-state team, and state all-tournament team as a freshman. I am generally the point guard and sometimes play post positions.
As an athlete I play 2 sports, varsity volleyball as well as basketball. In volleyball I am primarily the setter but I also play outside well. The two sports I play require stamina, good communication skills, and motivation (a can do attitude) which are 3 of my strongest attributes. I am always willing to do whatever I can to help my teammates get better as well as myself, because you can't win championships with a couple of great players, I believe it's a team effort. I'm an extremely hard worker on the court and in the classroom with a GPA of 3.9. I will be a immense asset, student athlete and teammate for any collegiate team I play for.
