Personal Statement

My name is Tarah Land. I am a senior at Centralia High School. I enrolled in the Running Start Program the beginning of my junior year in order to attain my AA Degree in Physical Education at the same time I received my High School Diploma. I have a 3.2 GPA and plan on attending a four-year university after graduation, in the fall of 2011. I am a very hard working ball player with one thing on my mind since I was 12 and that was to play college softball. You would be hard pressed to find a more dedicated player, and lead by example. Although a majority of my classes are taken at Centralia College, I am still very active in the sports program at Centralia High School. In the Fall season, I participate in swimming/diving and will letter all four (4) year after this coming season. In the Spring, I am a Varsity fastpitch player and again will letter all four (4) years. My other high school activities include: Cheerleading, Sophomore Homecoming Princess, Link Crew, and Science Club. Besides playing high school fastpitch, I am also on a select 18U Gold team based out of Kelso, Washington. It has always been my dream to go on to play in college and guarantee that I will work harder than any player you have ever had. I am a natural born leader and a team player. I am an aggressive player and very competitive in nature. I have been voted most-inspirational and MVP in both high school and in select ball. I have a tournament every weekend in September, if anyone would like the details of my schedule, please e-mail me at sherry.land@comcast.net. Thank you in advance for considering me. Sincerely, Tarah Land
