My name is Taylor Corcoran and I am a passionate softball player. I am dedicated to this sport and committed to improving and learning new skills. Through the game of softball I have learned many skills that will benefit me in the future. Softball is a failing sport and it teaches me that if something doesn't go my way I need to keep trying and stay positive. Communication with others and how to be a good teammate and friend on and off the field are some of the other important things I have learned from the game.
In college I want to study architecture or journalism/communications. However, I am still exploring and researching other majors. I want to attend a college that is a good fit for me where I can receive a good education and play competitive softball.
A great team is one that not only works hard but has good chemistry and bonds like a team. They trust each other, and always encourage their teammates to work harder. I am a first baseman and pitcher, and I also enjoy playing left and right field. I work hard at pitching outside of practices and during offseasons, but when I am not on the mound I compete for spots on the field and in the hitting lineup. My goal for high school softball is to ultimately play on the varsity team. I will work hard during this fall and offseason to earn a position to play on the team. What I can contribute to a team is my constant positivity and that I never give up.
