Personal Statement

I am currently a 9th Grader at Churchill High School in Eugene, OR where I am a starting Defensive End and Offensive Linesman on the 2017 JV Football Team. I also had the honor of being the only Freshman on the 2017 Churchill High School Varsity Roster who was the Oregon State Championship Runner-up team this season. I played backup Goalie on the 2017 JV2 Soccer Team and I am a member of the 2017 Freshman Basketball Team.

I am of Samoan ancestry and my 'ohana (family) and I have roots in Maui, Hawaii.  We moved to Oregon in August 2015 to explore better educational opportunities as well as pursue my passion for athletics, especially football. I am excited to play college football as well as achieve my dream of playing professional football.

I am enjoying being a part of a high school team that includes an inspirational coaching staff who are dedicated to developing me to my full potential.  I am motivated by the strong work ethics and moral values instilled in me by the love and support of my 'ohana.  Outside of being an athlete, I play the baritone saxaphone in the high school band and the 'ukulele for the Pacific Islanders Club.  I am one of the only freshmen athletes who joined the Leadership/Student Council this year.  I feel that it is important to be well rounded and to excel both on and off the field. Together with the community that surrounds me, I am determined to achieve all my goals!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
