My name is Kiley King and I am a 5'5 right handed pitcher, I can also play first base and outfield. I began playing softball as soon as sign ups came out for Coach's pitch. I first began playing select when I was 9 years old. Since then I have played at the highest level of travel softball. I feel softball has given me the opportunity to connect with fantastic friends and coaches from all over the midwest. I love going on the softball field every weekend. I love competing against the best teams I can find. I love the battle between me and the batter. I love the thrill of winning the game. I simply love the game.
I am looking into majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Law. However that is subject to change during my school career and as I get a little older. For me personally, academics is just as important as softball. At this time I am open to all colleges, I do not have a specific preference. I'm looking for an opportunity to play at the next level and get a great education. I'm looking for a university and coach that is a good fit for me.
Last year I was inducted into National Junior Honor Society. In order for this to be achieved you are required to have a 4.0 GPA and have to get a certain amount of community service hours. Last year the community service hours minimum was six, at one point I had 13 hours. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I'm currently taking Honors Algebra 1, Honors English and college prep History. I have a drive and determination for perfection in everything I do. My grades is no different. I've had straight A's, since the first grade. I accept nothing less than perfection on and off the field.
I'm also post player for my school's basketball team. I started playing basketball the same time I started softball. I would consider myself a team player, I'm always there to pick them up and encourage them after they make a mistake. I'm always communicating with my teammates during my games. I try to keep calm in the heat of the game and think ahead of the situation. I like to keep a level head in high tension situations.
