My aspiration for college is to get a bachelor's degree in Life Science/Zoology/Biology with a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine and after that a Ph.D. To get there, in my eighth-grade year I am planning to shadow veterinarians at local clinics plus in high school, I want to take advanced courses in biology or chemistry. In addition, I plan to be involved in student council all of my middle and high school years with the goal of improving my communication skills that are absolutely critical to have in the medical field that I wish to pursue.
I feel that I am a good candidate because of my athleticism but for my personality. As said from fellow teammates and coaches, "I am loud" - no, that is not meant as a negative statement, but as a positive one. Even if we are losing you can always count on me to be the one glued to the fence chanting my heart out while lifting the spirits around me and adding sheer hope and delectation to my all my sisters next to me.
I am different from other recruits characteristically because when I play the game I don't quit. No pain, no sorrow, and no competition can stop me from playing the game that burns a passion in my heart. Lucius Annaeus Seneca had once said, “It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.” The pain, the sweat, and the competition will all lead to your greatness. So never quit; it is just the beginning of greatness.
Academically speaking I am different from other recruits not just because of a GPA of 4.0 but because how I am achieving it. As I stated before, I am not the one to just give up. Each day I come into class with a high goal for myself, and I expect myself to achieve that goal no matter what- which for me means, there is no time to quit. I will strive to be the best person I can be and have high expectations of myself. Then, when the work gets harder, my expectations for myself grow even higher. When the work gets harder I don't just put the pencil down; I stand up and sharpen it.
