Playing varsity softball, varsity field hockey and jv basketball have been a big part of my year. However, academic achievement is also very important to me. I am looking for the opportunity to compete at the college level at a university that is both academically strong and a good fit for me athletically. As a freshman, coming on to a varsity team as the youngest and starting, I have learned a lot about handling pressure and keeping my composure as I face many girls bigger, stronger, and older than me. I feel this has played a major part in the success I have had this season. Our team competed for the Middlesex League Championship, which was unexpected for my team this year. Although it would have been great to win the championship, I feel as though our team learned a lot and will be even stronger next year. The high level of confidence and enthusiasm the other teams brought to the games inspired me to try to bring some of that to my own team. I enjoy the challenge of working hard and improving every day in a competitive environment, and I am looking forward to finding the right team and college where I can thrive.
